The first day of school is August 7th!
Returning student paperwork is now available through Parent Portal. This process will need to be completed before Meet the Teacher on August 5th.
Students will not be allowed to receive their schedule or find out who their teacher is unless this online paperwork is complete.

Hello Herd!
As you are well aware, April 8th will be the day of the solar eclipse. We are planning to have school and participate in the eclipse. We have been teaching lessons and we have purchased glasses for all the students and staff. There is an "opt-out" form coming home if you do not want your child outside watching the eclipse. Each campus will take those students to the cafeteria with supervision.
With yesterday's announcement from TISD about their closure, we are going to give another option to our families as well. If you are concerned about the safety of your child, on April 8th, or you want to experience the eclipse with your child, the district has an option for you to check your child out of school after 10 am and attendance will not count against them. We would like them here in the morning to count towards our state funding but also want to work with our families. We believe we have a safe plan but understand if you are concerned. If you are interested in this option, please contact your campus so that they can plan accordingly. We will be able to create a list at each campus and expedite the process.
If you come to collect your child on Monday, we hope you enjoy your time with them. If you choose to leave them here to experience the eclipse with us, please know they are safe. Take care and have a blessed Spring Break.

If you are interested in being on the dance team NEXTyear(5th-8th grades), There is a mandatory parent meeting on April 9.

Our Internet and phones are currently down this morning. We are working to resolve this issue.
At Red Lick Elementary, we love getting to extend our learning beyond the typical academic areas. Last night, our campus showcased our Student Enrichment Model (SEM). Our students have the opportunity to choose a topic to explore each semester and create projects to demonstrate their learning. Thank you to our volunteers and teachers who make this possible. Learning is fun with @theherd.

Early release this Friday at 12pm. Buses will begin running then.

✨Our Mustang families enjoyed an evening under the twinkling stars at our Daddy Daughter Dance: Starry Starry Night! ✨ It was a night filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories as fathers and daughters danced the night away. 💫 #DaddyDaughterDance #StarryStarryNight ✨👨👧💃

This past Saturday, a team of 4 students competed in the Texas Region 2 State Championships for VEX Robotics at Miller Grove Middle School. As this is our first year to compete in VEX, we were elated just to get the invitation to compete.
At the competition, we ran into several difficulties leading us to not do as well in the tournament bracket as we would have liked, but our kids kept smiles on their faces, good sportsmanship, and a humble attitude. During the interview process, they communicated their challenges and how they were correcting the issues. This interview, coupled with their attitudes throughout the day, earned them the 2024 Texas Region 2 Middle School Championship Judges Award.
The team, known as the Micro Mustangs, consisted of Ian Williams, Atticus Aslin, Lilyann Dyer, and J.L. Gonzales. These kids represented what it means to be a Mustang, and I am super proud of them!

You don't want to miss it! The black light pep rally is upon us already.

Transfer forms for current transfer students are due February 24th. If you haven't received your transfer form please contact the Admin office.
There was lots of excitement as we welcomed our newest Mustangs to campus during Kindergarten Round Up! We saw some familiar faces and met some new families! Great things are happening at Red Lick Elementary. Come join #theherd and see what it’s all about. 💙
