Hey, y'all! I am Red Lick's elementary school counselor. This is my third year in counseling but my ninth year in education. I have always been at the elementary level. I love, love the little ones! I am so thankful to have the opportunity to be at a small district such as Red Lick. It really feels like home. Everyone has treated me so kindly. I felt like I knew everyone right away. 

I graduated from Texas A&M University-Texarkana in  2007 with my Bachelor's degree in psychology. My daughter had just been born and, at that time, I was unsure of what I wanted to pursue. Ten years later, I figured it out. I wanted to help students in their everyday environment be successful and also gain the skills to help their social-emotional growth. I was hired right away on the Arkansas side of town as a first grade teacher. I earned my teaching certificate during my first year of teaching. Then, I graduated from Southern Arkansas University in 2020 with my Master's degree in education, focus in school counseling.

I have two children and three dogs. My children compete in local, high school rodeo associations. My daughter competes in barrel racing and pole bending. She is super impressive on how she can really handle a 1500 lb animal. My son rides bucking horses. He has acquired a couple broken bones from falls off of a horse. I am hoping he decides to rope instead of continuing in rough stock events. Rodeo is our life. You'll find me there just about every weekend.
